heyyyy

hehe, saw on of your reveiws somewhere and decided i'd check up on you again. I haven't visited your audio page since i pointed you in the general direction of the audio portal XD.

you have improved so dam much..... dam......

this is an awesome track. love some of the sounds you put in here such as the kettle, siren and the steam whistle. they add that extra reality sense and tie the songs to machinery. i love the voice too. wheres it from?

my real only complaint is the ending. that one instrument playing the slow melody just didn't fit with anything.

one thing that could be added is a lull. somewhere you can a section with pipes and perhaps a quiet metal precussion instument. then you can add a few shudders, crunches and whumps and a cresendoing melody to lead back into the song.

you said that this feels like its declining, well, then grab hold of that then. you can have it decline then drop to a lull then climb back up and cresendo. =P

anyways, good music and hope to hear more from you.

p.s. i never did finish that flash =P

Dude!!! Arby my man! Wazza!!!

-Wow! You've really provided a lot of advice. I may or may not use it, but I will have to consider you as a helper to my songs in determining flow, you've got it down.

-XD, I didn't think you would finish that flash. But still man, WHY'D YOU GIVE UP?!? JUST KEEP AT IT, DO YOUR BEST, NO MATTER WHAT!

Alright, anyways, thanks to you, I have as much reviews as one of ParagonX9's songs, and I plan to surpass her one day, every journey begins with the first step : )

-Thanks again man! You're teh BOMB!!!

cool

funky. never heard anything in 5/4 before. and it sounds really cool =D

i love the way part of the song seems like a ship going through a storm then transitions to a part where its calm-sorta like going through the eye of the storm- then goes hard again =D

DavidOrr responds:

Ahh, you figured out exactly what I was try to portray. You know in the classic movies when everyone gets through a tough part and thinks everything is ok... but then an even bigger disaster hits them!

I love it when that happens :). Glad you liked the piece!

wow

i might be listening to some of the benifits that ______ can provide.

(couldn't hear what it was XD)

Draze responds:

"You might be missing some of the benifits that sterio can provide"

I'll try to make more ambient music regularly...but the problem is inspirational
thanks for the review :)

this reminded me kinda of housemastas dirty mixes execpt with no real apparent theme XD

it doesn't fit togeather at all yet fits perfectly.

you really need to submit here more.

ZeRo-BaSs responds:

stunning

after hearing both you and dan's peices i am very, very moved. You people are awesome.

perhaps you and dan should team up and make a classical composing duet =D. you guys would wipe the floor. (it would be marble of course because you'd be rich and famous too XD)

i wish i could compose something for him but i have no clue how to use an audio porgram so i shall leave reveiws and hope he reads em. sad to see him go.

MaestroSorrow responds:

the two collabs we did do, we did somewhat well, i'm pretty confident we would be able to make more amazing songs, but with Dan gone, I fear it'll be all solo from here.

Thanks for listening to a saddened artist's tribute arby, and thanks again for the review ^^.

Its sad to see you go. I have always been a fan of you and your style.

I really don't care about music theory crap either. It, in my opinion just bogs you down and restricts true musical talent. Just make the music you feel is right even if it doesn't fit in with theory.

it may not be as long as maestro's or as personal as winter's but goodbye and i hope to hear your music again.

(dammit i wish i'd waited till now to use my classic-al joke =/) XD

oh, and this peice isn't very good. its *breathes*........

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Hey there Arby,

I had a gander over at MaestroSorrow's tribute to me. I noticed you left a review hoping I'd write back. Well... just to know that you and all the others haven't been forgotten, I thought I'd leave you a reply.

Thankyou for the muchos cookies... I love cookies :).

I've never really cared much for learning music from others. It bothers the hell out of me. My entire life I've been given the choice to take lessons. I've always said no for this reason.

If I were to take lessons... I would be... in essense... like anyone else who ever took lessons.

If I sat down and played you the most beautiful piece you ever heard. You would be amazed... if I were then to tell you... that... entirely from scratch I taught it to myself... then you would be profoundly amazed.

I never want to lose what makes me unique. I never want to lose what I've worked for my entire life... it feels too damn good.

Thanks sir. I'll take care on my travels. You do the same.

Sincerely,
MilkManDan

holy

holy crappers man. that was amazing. 70% chance that it will find its way into my game (if it ever gets completed) =P

very nice keyboard work. its a classic-al (ahhhahaha, get it? classical... ahahahaha....i'm bored. have a cookie.)

MilkMan-Dan responds:

holy pee stain on bamboo pants batman... lol funny joke there.

Well... I do hope my music gets used. I am always grateful for such wonderful flash artists using my work. Thanks for the review as well.

blah

liked the original much better. This was very close to the original exept you added some stuff that just made it sound worse IMO.

Yeah.
